A few weeks ago I had the opportunity to visit GAS-Art Gifts in Perimeter Mall in Atlanta, Georgia. This unique space offers autographed children’s books, art classes for adults and children and beautiful original pieces of art by guest artists and by the owner, R. Gregory Christie.
Christie is the award-winning illustrator of Jazz Baby, one of the beloved Jambo Books we sent to 0-2 subscribers in June. Here, he talks to us about how he got his start in illustration as a precocious kid to doing live paintings in clubs in New York to finding his niche in children’s books. Christie also shares the social purpose of GAS-Art Gifts in pursuing nothing less than a better world.
